ABOUT THE SCHOOL CHOIR PROJECT:
The project began when Chris Moon received a call from a small Midwest school in Holstein Iowa asking if he would be willing to do a Zoom call with the students. After a year of dealing with Covid 19 the school was seeking a way to uplift the spirits of the small local high-school choir. After hearing the story and sympathizing with what all the young students had been through in the past 18 months, MoonSound Studios suggested a bold idea to go a step further.
Chris Moon suggested that instead of a one time video chat, MoonSound Studios would write an original Pop song for the school choir. With all that the young students had missed out on through the pandemic it was decided to write an inspirational and motivational song with a powerful message to the youth around the world. Thus was born the song; "CHANGE THE WORLD" a song about young people having the power to make the world the kind of place they want to see and to help them to understand the future truly is in their hands.
Chris Moon (with over 22 million records sold to date) of MoonSound Studios, the studio that discovered, produced and wrote the first hit song for Prince undertook this one-of-a-kind production to bring the power of a top producer and hit song writer direct to the new young artists of today. This is a song by young people for young people. The project commenced in February 2021, was done remotely and completed in late May, 2021. A limited edition CD will be released for the students and their families in June of 2021.
FIRST POP PROJECT OF ITS KIND:
To our knowledge, never before has a top producer written a song just for school students with the idea that they could be part of a creative Pop production in conjunction with their school choir department. We provided everything needed including the sheet music, choral arrangement, mixing and mastering.
This exciting collaboration between the writer/producer and the students resulted in a finished song featuring exclusively young artists in the complete production.
